Valsartan is a white or almost white, hygroscopic powder and Freely soluble in anhydrous ethanol, sparingly soluble in methylene chloride, practically insoluble in water. It's chemical name is L-Valine, N-(1-oxopentyl)-N-[[2c-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl) [1,1c-biphenyl]-4-yl]methyl]-N-[p-(o-1H-Tetrazol-5-ylphenyl)benzyl]-N-valeryl-L-valine.
